Over the weekend, a rockslide closed a road in Parana that leads to Paranagua port. Traffic is still slow with trucks having to use an alternative to be able to reach the port.

Although this disrupts the flow of cargo down to Paranagua port, we don’t expect to impact Brazilian sugar exports.

Over 80% of CS Brazil raw sugar is exported out of Santos port. And 90% of Paranagua sugar is delivered through trains, using Rumo’s Malha Sul.
