Russia Harvested Over 90 Million Tons of Grain

Russia harvested more grain this year, especially legumes and cereals. The harvest was estimated at 33.1 million hectares, higher than last year’s rates. Wheat, in particular, has been harvested from 21.8 million hectares, with 65.6 million tons threshed.

Eid-Parry (India) to Set Up 120 Klpd Distillery Plant in Andra Pradesh

EID-Parry (India) currently has a capacity of 297 kilo litres per day (KLPD) at its Sankili unit in Andhra Pradesh. The board of EID-Parry (India) has approved setting up a 120 kilo litres per day (KLPD) grain/sugar syrup/molasses-based distillery to boost capacity in its Sankili unit. This investment is estimated at Rs 92.50 crore and is expected to be added by November 2022.

Australia May Have Hit Peak Farming Acreage but Production Set to Keep Climbing

This comes as the current winter cropping season has seen a record area planted, with 23 million hectares in the ground. Algeria Tenders to Buy Nominal 50,000 Tonnes Barley

According to European traders, Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC has issued an international tender to buy a nominal 50,000 tonnes of animal feed barley from optional origins. The deadline for submission of price offers in the tender was Wednesday, Sept. 8. The barley is sought for shipment in two periods, Oct. 1-15 and Oct. 16-31.

Ukraine Harvested Record High Crop of Early Grains and Pulses

The Tires of The Future Could Be Made with Dandelions and Recycled Water Bottles

A preview by Continental’s latest concept shows that the tire of the future could be green as more than half of the raw materials used in the Conti GreenConcept are either recycled or come from renewable sources. The tire features bio-materials such as natural rubber from dandelions, silicate from rice husks ash, and vegetable oils and resins. This allows for a “significant reduction” of materials made from crude oil.

Just Eat Trials Reusable Takeaway Packaging in Bid to Cut Plastics Use

Food delivery firm Just Eat has partnered with reusable packaging service CLUBZERO to help minimize plastic use by offering customers reusable takeaways packaging. Under the trial, customers will be given the choice between traditional packaging and reusable packaging when placing an order through Just Eat’s website or app. Customers choosing the reusable option will be asked to either arrange a collection of their used packaging or drop it off at a local facility. Both options are facilitated by CLUBZERO through its app.

Rabobank Report Forecasts Positive Season for Australian Dairy Farmers
