- 63 mills remain crushing in India; this is 25 more than were operating at this point last season.

Uttar Pradesh: Past the Peak and Winding Down
- Over the past month, UP’s mills have produced their largest amount of sugar in the last 5 years.
- With 38% of UP mills still operational, we expect a further 300k tonnes of sugar to be produced there.
- This will bring their total production up to 12.5m tonnes.
Maharashtra: The Last Leg
- MH’s production slowed to a crawl over the last fortnight, with only an additional 20k tonnes contributed.
- Between now and November, they have produced just over 6m tonnes of sugar.
- Their level of production hasn’t been this low since the 16/17 season.
Karnataka: Production Has Ceased
- KN’s fortnightly production peaked at 0.6m tonnes in Jan’20, second only to the 18/19 peak at 0.66m tonnes.
- Despite this, KN has suffered its poorest production in five years.
