  • This week, 330kmt of raws were nominated in CS – the strongest second week of the year on record.
  • So far, total nominations stand at 1.3mmt, with 727kmt sailed to date.
  • If the pace of nominations is sustained in the upcoming weeks, January could set a new record for exports in Q1.
  • The last time a volume over 1.5mmt of raws was exported was in 2014.

  • Worth to note as well is whites breakbulk exports, with over 280kmt nominated already this quarter – total Brazil.
  • It is the strongest volume for the period since the 2012/13 season.
  • The main destinations remain a mystery as they have not been disclosed in the data received.
  • But it is safe to assume most of the volume is for African ports.
