CZ: What Have you Been Up To Lately?

Fishing near the cane fields is the best leisure activity.

The National Day Golden Week has just passed, and we have returned from holiday to the cane. After a few months in the city this year, I feel I’ve become lazy. Po is also visibly in physical decline. After just one round of cane inspection, he was out of breath.

Although we are still wearing T shirts, the wind smelled of autumn. My sugarcane is still growing well; its height is short, but the quantity can make up for it.

I recently attended a wedding – wish the couple a happy marriage. Besides, the banquet was delicious.

CZ: What Is the Status of Your Crop At The Moment?

In the middle of last month, a demonic wind carrying heavy rain flattened thousands of my sugarcane. It’s not a problem though. You just need to lift the fallen cane by hand.

Since September, the weather has been mainly cloudy with showers. This has helped the soil moisture levels. Now we have entered the late stage of sugarcane growth, and there are still one or two months until harvest. Our job now is to manage the fields well and make the final push for yield.

Among them, pest management is an ongoing task – the sugarcane borer pests.

CZ: What’s new?

After years of waiting, my eucalyptus field is finally ready for harvest.
