    • Note: Neonics (or Neonicotinoids) are an insecticide designed to deter pests away from crops and, in turn, prevent yield losses.
  • This comes after France announced a similar exemption last month that will last until July 2023.
  • With this, we think the UK’s beet area will align with that of 2020/21 and total 92k hectares.
  • If it does, UK sugar production could rebound to 1.1m tonnes in 2021/22.
